Passing Over the Rainbow Bridge

We did our work on earth today,

The smiles and love we brought your way.

The times we shared will forever be,

For within your heart…..engraved is me.

You raised me like your child….I was,
Then taught me what it was to love.

Oh, how I hate to leave your side,
A greyhound’s soul has risen high.

Don’t cry….don’t cry….I know you will,
I’ll smile down on you from heavens-ville.

To bond both sides the colors run,
The stream of life I drinketh from.

I got to go, don’t wait around,
Just say a prayer and adopt a hound!
